The Natural Landscape

Dawn at Zabriskie Point was once described as the best sunrise in North America. It is simply breathtaking and is usually accompanied by a large group of people who gather on the overlook to welcome the new day. This picture is taken as the sun has fully illuminated the Panamint Mountains and the salt flats in the valley with the erosion sculptured badlands in the foreground still partially in shadow.
