The Natural Landscape
The Mesquite Sand Dunes are the most famous in Death Valley National Park and been used for desert scenes in many films including the "Star Wars" series. This picture is taken just before sunset when the strong shadows give shape/texture to the dunes and the Amargosa Mountains in the background.
